Protein shakes are a must if your trying to maintain hard earned muscle mass, so supplements during the day need to be ingested to prevent catabolic muscle loss. Catabolism is when your body starts breaking down muscle for energy. This happens if you don’t provide enough of the essential nutrients to your body that it needs to keep you going.
Protein shakes throughout the day and before bedtime are a good idea to promote anabolism and deter catabolism . A blender is probably the best way to mix your favorite flavor of protein powder but sometimes its not convinient like when your at work. Enter the “Blender Bottle”. You can pick one up at GNC for about $8.99. Yes this does sound a bit pricey, but it will last much longer than your average shaker bottle.
Unlike most shaker bottles the Blender Bottle is unique because instead of having the powder breaker in the top it utilizes a stainless steel wire ball that works like a wire whisk to break up and blends the powder when you shake it.The Poor spout is wide and the cap will not flip down and close while you are using it. It makes for easy cleaning as well.
