Product Review: Oryx Goat Whey
Whey protein is a must to maintain and build muscle. The debate over what protein is best is a never ending battle. What is the right protein and why? Whey protein always seems to come out on top but there are some draw backs of whey protein. If your lactose intolerant you may experience some discomfort when using whey protein that comes from cows milk. Even if your not lactose intolerant you may have gastrointestinal issues for awhile until your body gets used to the whey just as you may have when using creatine monohydrate.
Oryx Goat Whey has hyped itself up enough to the point where they convince you that you will not have any of these problems because it is derived from goats milk which is closer to human breast milk.
I’m not convinced. I used Oryx and I was not impressed, especially with the price. I still had the same gas problems that I did with regular bovine whey. I didn’t feel that I gained much if any muscle mass and the flavor is very weak. Now when using protein it is very important of how and when you use it. I’ve gotten better results from other cheaper whey proteins that you can purchase at Walmart.
You can read more about Oryx Goat Whey on the Vyo-tech website, but I’m giving it a thumbs down.![]()

I agree, muscle milk does work and tastes great. BSN’s Syntha Six and True Mass have giving me good results and you can’t beat the taste…

I have never really been convinced about how different the various brands of whey are. Whey is whey after all. There is a lot of marketing behind the claims that one brand is better than another. My advice is to always go for the most accessible, cheapest available. If it works, stick with it. Results are important, not brands!
