Omega-3 Fatty Acids and Fish Oil
Omega-3 fatty acids are rich in fatty fish and can also be found in flax seed. Omega-3 fatty acids have very healthy effects especially for diabetes and heart disease. They reduce inflammation and have therapeutic benefits in various diseases associated with pro-inflammatory mechanisms like rheumatoid arthritis and other joint related diseases.
Omega-3 fatty acids have also shown to enhance fat breakdown and protect against muscle loss. It is suggested to consume 1000 to 3000 mg of omega-3 fatty acids per day. While glucosamine has great effects on joint health it is quite expensive and Fish oil is a much cheaper alternative.
A lot of people don;t like to taking fish oil due to the fact that the fishy odor sometimes comes back up after ingesting. Some brands such as Bumble Bee Omega-3 Fish Oil offers enteric coated soft-gels to help control oder and prevent aftertaste. The enteric coated cost about $2 more but are well worth it.

Fish oil is great for you, just make sure you take the kind that has Omega 3, not Omega 6. If you do some quick research, you’ll find that most people get more than enough Omega 6 from their diets.

Thanks Kate, You are absolutely correct. Omega-6 fatty acids can cause depression and disease consumed in excess. The ratio in fish oil tablets or softgels of omega-6 are very low. If dieting properly omega 6 fatty acids are as you said ingested sufficiantly. Thanks for the input.
