Muscle Growth and Stimulation

jay_cutler2.jpgSo you work out, huh? You watch what you eat? Trying to build muscle?

The fats coming off but the it feels like your not gaining any muscle. Your not alone but perhaps the few things I can tell you here will help you to get them growing a bit. I’m not guaranteeing anything but I’m sharing knowledge that can only help.

Maybe your watching what you eat too much. I did this for too long and it made gaining muscle weight incredibly difficult. You can eat healthy and take in the nutrients you need to build muscle. First thing you should know about is protein intake. If your trying to gain muscle you need to up your protein intake. Weather it is buy a simple protein shake or by eating the right foods such as fish, chicken breast, egg whites and other foods with significant protein content while being low in fat.

Carbohydrates. You can lower your carbohydrate intake if you want to lose weight but you need to know what carbohydrates to reduce or reject.  Refined sugars should be the first thing you cut drastically, but you need to keep a good slow digesting carb intake to help with muscle energy and protein synthesis.

Rest is essential. Your muscle down build when your working out, they build when you sleep. You stimulate them when you work out and given the intensity and type of work out you do will determine the intensity of the growth stimulation. If you go heavy you will build mass faster, but if you go moderate you will burn fat while stimulating mild muscle growth and strong lean muscle. This doesn’t mean the mass driven wrokout does not build lean strong muscle, it just builds more. Sleep and rest between workout gives your muscles time to heal and grow. Without the rest your muscle will be overworked and you may not see any results and can induce injury.

A lot of the large bodybuilders you see in the magazine add that went from looking buff but a bit flabby and then the after picture shows them all cut, big and bad ass. Yeah, well these days for some it’s easier to get big while feeding your body up and getting big but a bit flabby. Then when its time they diet and lean down to a ripped cut magazine picture posing machine for a product that gets your attention by showing atypical results.

At times it may look and feel as if your not gaining any muscle but as someone once told me that you are the last person to see you grow. Meaning that you won’t notice the little growths here and there. Take a picture every month to record your results. Study these pictures. Critique yourself. Find your week points and work on the. Find your strong points and maintain them. Study up and learn from the best. (when I say best, I refer to bodybuilders such as Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jay Cutler, Ronnie Coleman…not Gary Coleman).

Find the right supplements that work for you. Some you will get great gains from and some you will get nothing but an empty pocket from. Stick to the reputable names but remember, just cause it cost a lot doesn’t mean your going to gain a lot. It takes time and hard work, don’t expect to grow noticeable muscle gains overnight.
