Roger Clemens- Innocent or Guilty?

by Scott on January 5th, 2008

clemens.jpgOnce again with this huge controversy in the MLB about HGH and steroids, Roger Clemens is in the spotlight still over steroid use. Andy Pettite admitted to using HGH (Human Growth Hormone) but Roger Clemens is stilling sticking to his guns and saying that he has not used. He said he has taken injections but not containing steroids. These days I don’t know who to believe. As a Yankees fan I would like to believe him and that he’s not lying. There are a million people out there calling him a liar (Mostly Red Sox Fans) screaming that his awards should be taken away. Below is a youtube.com video of Clemens thanking everyone for support and denying steroid use. No one likes to be wrongly accused and will deny and defend ourselves when we are innocent. I think these days for sports players it’s more beneficial to admit than to have your reputation tarnished even more when later you are in fact proven guilty of it and you look twice as stupid as before. What do you think? Video after the jump.

I am going to have to say that I believe The Rocket, not just because I am a Yankees fan, but, because I do! How can the trainer sue Clemens for defamation when there is no proof on his end either! It’s a joke. Sen. Mitchell sits on the board of directors for The Red Sox, so, check it out on Wikipedia. Clemens said it best when he stated that he was guilty in the public eye immedietely! I back him, he’s The Godamn Rocket!!!!!

All the Clemen’s apologists are hilarious. These same fans who were willing to lynch Bonds at first accusation, are now backing their beloved “Rocket”. I’m not saying that every Yankees fan falls under this category, but it certainly looks like the majority.

    GUILTY!!, GUILTY, GUILTY!!
An innocent man would not have his lawyer,
do all his talking for him ala.(RUSTY HARDIN)
I am pretty conservative, but even I notice the
double standard “white glove treatment” given to
Clemens, over Bonds. I like to always claim that
race is never an issue when it comes to sports
as the best players play the best players, but when it comes to issues where all or some of the players are all a ” LITTLE BIT DIRTY” us white
    people get a pass.

Like I said. I’d like to believe Clemens, but it’s hard to after Bonds denied it and then admitted to lying about it. There are so many other players on that list that we probably haven’t heard yet.

Right now its a he said-he said between his trainer and him. If he continues to deny it and in the end it is revealed with proof that he did indeed use performance enhancing drugs, then by all means prosecute him. I think the biggest thing with Bonds was that size was quite evident. If you saw him in his younger years and then watched how much he grew over the years to include the size of his head which is a side effect of using HGH. If anything, Clemens has gotten fatter.

I think Pettite did the best thing and came clean.

To Andrew, the person that says that a Yankees fan and their beloved Rocket are innocent also believe that Bonds was guilty, now who’s assuming? I watched coverage Bonds HR record that whole evening. There are still “baseball fans.” You only need to do a little homework to figure that out, I did!!!!

Personally I would much rather or Senators spend their time working on a single payer health care plan or ending the war in Iraq than worrying about whether Roger Clemens or Barry Bonds or anyone else cheated in a baseball league. In my opinion the ones who are debased by all of this are our Senators and Congress people.

Wouldn’t we all. Instead we get a president that is trying to pass a 3.1 trillion dollar budget. WTF?

What the hell do you expect? It’s called age. Maybe he is guilty. God knows I’d like to belwieve he’s not but it doesn’t look good. But you can’t judge on what he looked like over 20 years ago to what he looks like now and say “yep, he’s roidin’”
