Too Much Sugar May Drop Your Testosterone
According to an article in Men’s Health Magazine March 2008, a diet high in sugars can cause your body’s testosterone to drop. This can explain a lot of things from hard gaining to the infamous “Man-boobs”. As you know when your body’s testosterone and estrogen levels are off balance one dominates and can make for “un-manly” changes to the male body.
“Drinking pop may make you a bedroom flop. Canadian scientists found that maintaining a diet high in sugar can temporarily lower your testosterone levels, which in turn can undermine your erections and sap your sex drive. That’s because a constant surfeit of sugar creates a domino effect: You triglycerides go up, your sex hormone-binding globulin (SHBG)goes down, and then your T goes into hibernation. “When you’re deficient in SHGB, it signals your body to stop making testosterone altogether.” says study author Geoffrey Hammond, Ph.D. If you’re consuming a high sugar diet, this chain reaction can happen in 4 months. But swear off sweets, and your T should come roaring back.”

I think when you take to much sugar, could be bad when you are not exercising, for me there is nothing wrong taking sugar if you are a sportman, you need energy before, during and after exercise, so sugar is the key for that period. So if you are not exercising, fellow men’s health advices. Thanks
