Health Quick-Tips

by Scott on April 3rd, 2008

If you’re working out, trying to put on muscle and burn fat at the same time, too much cardio can be counter-productive. Too much cardio when working out in an effort to build muscle  can actually “burn” muscle as well as fat.

Solution: Do your cardio after your muscle building workout , but do short, high intensity cardio such as wind sprints and keep it to a minimal. This lets your body burn off fat for energy as opposed to muscle. Don’t forget your protien intake, as it is very important for muscle growth.
