Hungry? Eat An Alligator!
According to Men’s Health Magazine Alligator is a popular
dish in the deep south. I guess I just haven’t been that deep yet, but it’s something I’d be willing to try. You can even order it online!
“Alligator has a soft, tender texture similar to veal”
“It’s rich in omega-3 fatty acids and packs more muscle building protein than beef or chicken”
” Order at Fossilfarms.com. Rub each pound of gator with 2 tablespoons of blackening seasoning. Cook over high heat on a grill or in a cast iron skillet.”

Scott,
there is a creole restaurant in my city (west coast of canada) and they serve alligator bits. Its fantastic. People tend to think they taste like chicken. But I think it has its own unique flavor.
If you are ever out my way, go to the Ouisi Bistro. Its a really fun place….and they serve great cajun/creole food, with a bit of a west coast twist!

Thanks Laura, but I’m rarely near the west coast of anywhere. I’m an eastern boy and living in the south in NC. I may check out the site and actually order some. Thanks though.
