Quitting Time, Day Two
I’m only going to do this for the first few days but day two went great. There was a few times that I had big cravings but I just refocused and moved on without a hitch. One tough thing was when I left work. I had a bit longer drive because I had to go to the record store to pic up a couple of new releases today for my metal blog, but on the way back I called a friend from Indiana and talked for a bit so that passed the time. Too easy.
A co-worker told me awhile back “Quitting’s easy…staying quit is the hard part.”

I’ve quit smoking a few times only to restart with “just one” when I got too cocky after a few beers.
The key is to really “stay quit.” Good luck. And don’t think of it as “hard.” If you do that it will seem hard. Embrace your cravings and laugh at them.

This time around it has been really easy. In fact I am even using the Commit less and I’ve only used them twice today. Cravings are few and far between. That was my problem, was the just one after a few beers but then it became one a day or so and then fully back. I haven’t been back into smoking for very long so I think that also makes it easier…and I hate it so that helps too.
