This Is Why You Should Wear Sunblock

by Scott on May 4th, 2008

sunburn I had to cut grass today and I have almost an acre to cut. I don’t have a ride on mower. I have a push mower. When I say push mower I mean your conventional small engine walk behind push mower. I’m not Amish you know. Anyway I honestly didn’t think it was going to be this bad. Usually I get a little burn but I was out there quite some time and I really couldn’t feel it.

With skin cancer these days, this really isn’t healthy. I did have some sunblock on but it was only SPF 4. Yeah…I’m a frickin genius, right? It doesn’t feel too bad now but I know I’m going to feel it later and the itching from it drying and peeling in the next week or so is going to drive me nuts. Bottom line, wear sunblock (stronger than SPF4) if you plan on being doing yard work or if you’re going to be out in the sun in general. It looks like I’m wearing a white tank top when I take my shirt off.
